Invenio Strategies was founded by Ed Gehres and Blake Trueblood as part of their evolving effort to construct a complete litigation finance ecosystem. After more than six years of working together at an investment platform with significant investments in law firm lending, pre-settlement funding, claims development, and settlement administration, Ed and Blake founded Invenio LLP, a law firm focused on the plaintiffs’ litigation marketplace, in January of 2022. The foundation of their work is the strong belief that access to capital in the legal industry can level the playing field and ensure access to justice, and a recognition that there was a need for a broader range of strategic services and consulting to help organizations succeed in litigation finance transactions.

Invenio Strategies was formed as an outgrowth of this belief, to fill a need in the market for experienced, strategic counselors who could guide law firms in leveraging litigation finance as a tool for strategic growth and expansion, investors in the litigation finance asset class, founders looking to establish litigation funds, and legal organizations looking for strategic growth guidance. Launched in February of 2023, Invenio Strategies immediately began engagements on emerging alternative business structure (ABS) issues and on large-scale transactions in mass torts, personal injury, commercial, and business litigation disputes, both in the United States and internationally.
